Did you know: you can add your non-MLS Supplemental listings that have yet to hit the market?
When it comes to building your real estate website, one of the most important things you can do is make sure you have accurate, up-to-date listings. However, YMLS Vision also allows you to add supplemental listings that aren’t on the market yet and more. Here’s what you need to know to add them to your website.
MLS vs. Supplemental Listings
There are two types of real estate listings you can use with YMLS Vision: MLS listings and supplemental listings.
MLS (or Multiple Listing Service) listings are pulled from a national database that the MLS organization keeps. These homes can be referenced using a simple MLS number. YMLS adds these listings to your website through an IDX Feed with your local board.
Supplemental listings, on the other hand, don’t come from the MLS database. Instead, you simply post these listings yourself and fill out all the information by hand. Supplemental listings are great for pocket listings, pre-sales, rentals, pending listings and sold listing data.
Adding Supplemental Listings
One of the best parts about using YMLS Vision to manage your real estate website is the fact that the whole process is incredibly easy. Through Vision, you can make various changes to your website without having to be an expert.
If you want to add supplemental listings to your website, the first thing you need to do is find the “Settings” page in Vision. From here, select the “Supplemental Listings” tab, then click “Add a New Supplemental Listing” to add one. You’ll be presented with a supplemental listing form; simply fill all the information out and click “Update” and you’ll have a new supplemental listing on your website.
You can use supplemental listings for tons of different things, from listing a home that hasn’t yet hit the market to adding sold listing data. Make sure you’re as thorough as possible so your leads know what they’re looking at when they view your supplemental listings. Additionally, don’t forget that you can add things like virtual tours, listing photos and open house data to supplemental listings, so it’s a good idea to take advantage of that.
Being an Intelligent Agent is easier said than done, but YMLS Vision is here to help. Adding supplemental listings can be a great way to nurture and attract leads, plus it’s easy to do thanks to Vision.
